President/Owner Derek Dobrowolski grew up in Manchester, New Hampshire. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a BS in Finance. Before becoming a Commodity Futures Broker and gaining experience in two commodity brokerages, he worked for Chase Manhattan Bank and Citibank on their Latin America Equities Trading Desk. He has been featured in the Japanese version of Money Magazine and is frequently called by Bloomberg for his opinion on current commodity market investments for their news and articles. He opened Orion Futures Group, Inc. because he was looking to offer his clients more trading tools and benefits than the firm that he was working for offered. He is married, enjoys travel, reading and teaching and lives in Tampa, Florida.
